2014년 재즈피플 라이징스타에 선정되었을 때부터 김대호는 국내 재즈 신에서 활발하게 활동하고 있는 연주자였다. 이후 김대호는 트럼페터 데이먼 브라운(Damon Brown), 색소포니스트 마틴 야콥센(Martin Jacobsen) 등과 유럽 클럽 투어를 가지기도 했고, 커트 엘링(Kurt Elling)과 같은 세계적인 재즈 음악가는 물론 해금 연주자 윤주희까지 폭넓게 연주 활동을 펼쳤다. 그렇게 15년이라는 시간을 가득 채웠고, 최근 드디어 자신의 첫 앨범 [TOUGH LIFE]를 공개했다. 베이스는 리듬 섹션으로 분류되지만, 동시에 음을 연주하기도 한다. 그런 점에서 특히 재즈에서는 중심을 잡아주는 동시에 드럼과 피아노(혹은 다른 악기) 사이에서 힌트와 영감을 주고 조율의 역할을 하기도 한다. 현재 가장 훌륭한 베이스 연주자인 김대호와 함께 재즈 리듬의 매력을 느껴보자.

Ever since being named a Jazz People Rising Star in 2014, Daeho Kim has been a powerhouse in the Korean jazz scene. He has toured European clubs with trumpeter Damon Brown and saxophonist Martin Jacobsen, and collaborated with world-renowned jazz artists like Kurt Elling, as well as Haegeum (traditional Korean fiddle) artist Ju-hee Yoon. After 15 years of prolific activity, he recently released his first album, TOUGH LIFE. While the bass is a rhythm section instrument, it also carries the melody. In jazz, the bass holds the center while providing inspiration and coordination between the drums and piano. Experience the essence of jazz rhythm with Daeho Kim, one of the finest bassists today.
